As thousands of baseball fans arrive in San Diego for the 2016 All-Star festivities, we wanted to share our favorite selections of Petco Park food. We are full season ticket holders and eat at the ballpark all the time. While we haven’t tried everything available (there is just SOOOO much to offer), we do review what we try and give our honest opinion. The places and items noted here reflect what we have eaten numerous times during the 2016 season.

HODAD’s … yes, the Hodad’s of “Drive-ins, Diners, & Dives”!  While the menu is more limited than at their restaurant, you can get an amazing burger that will more than satisfy. We are big fans of their onion rings as well.  For the full story: Hodad’s Review

Seaside Market … this, in itself, is very unique for ballparks as it offers so much – like walking into a neighborhood market, complete with deli, sushi, and wine bar! For simplicity, we are focused on the Tri-Tip Nachos! For the full story: Tri-Tip Nachos

Board & Brew … truly, some of the best sandwiches we have had! To date, we have tried four different ones and love them all — so fresh — and the secret sauce — wow!!! You can even text your order and have it waiting for you … great way to beat the crowds!  For the full story: Board & Brew

Rimels … they have several locations throughout the park and even different menu selections at each.  We have heard amazing comments about their fish tacos but haven’t tried them. We do enjoy their Ramen Bowls – very filling and freshly wok’d while you wait. For the full story: Rimels Ramen Bowl

Phil’s BBQ … you will like catch the aroma of BBQ on the grill while waiting to enter Petco Park and that may make to want to head right there!  They have a location in the main concourse as well as in the Park. Both the ribs and the BBQ are great (haven’t tried the chicken) but we believe the Pulled Pork Sandwich with two sides is by far the best value! Feel free to ask for extra BBQ sauce! Club 19 … yes, it is named for Tony Gwynn.  This is on the Toyota Terrace level … tucked away in a corner. However, if you would like to have an attentive wait staff, great food, full bar, and be surrounded by Tony’s memorabilia – then you might enjoy this spot! For the full story: Club 19

Omni Club Buffet … this requires a ticket for Premier Club seating and is more pricey and fills up quickly — but if you have such seating and get to the park early, you might want to indulge.  The menu changes daily. For the full story: Omni Club Buffet

These are just a few of our personal favorites. If you have seats with in-seat service, our favorite items are the Chicken Tenders with Fries and the Carne Asada Fries.

No matter what you enjoy, you are most likely to find something to please at Petco Park. The selection and quality is fantastic.

We hope you will love our ballpark as much as we do. Enjoy each and every moment of all the 2016 MLB All-Star Festivities!

Cheers!
